Improved User-Interface

compared to Photoshop CS5, the user-interface very much improved and

menu bar.
Therefore, it is easy to select the tool options, as you needed. The
menu bar is well set on the top of the interface and right side contains
color adjustment, swatches and layer options. The compact arrangement
of tools and menus enables the working space without annoying their job
and improves the productivity. The view feature also improved from the
previous one, which contains proof color, layer edge selection, snap,
grid, smart guides, Zoom in&out, actual pixel sizing etc.

both image and video processing. I use the Nvidia Geforce 410M graphics
with balanced option and i5-intel Core, 2.67GHz Processor.
It
nicely works with simple tools operations. While operating some tools
like patch, brush, video processing, takes more time to respond and
process in my system. Overall, I experience better performance than CS5.
Camera Raw 7
Camera
raw was improved the basic controls such as shadow rendering and
highlight from the previous one. It also involves white balance
correction and noise reduction. The new slider and corrections are
available only when you start to process new images in camera raw 7. The
color and tonal adjustment provide advanced level image enhancement
with camera raw 7 feature.
New Tools
Tools are the important base of CS6 and adobe keeps
them updated in every version, by improving speed of operation and
ability of them. This version also contains Content Aware Move tool,
Content Patch tool and improved Crop tool.
The Content Aware Move
tool helps to simple recomposing of images without any complex layering.
All you need to select the tool from Spot Healing brush and select the
Content Aware Move tool. Then, using mouse pointer select the part you
want to move within the image and move it using mouse and done. It works
better if your image has uniform background.
If you want to do
some patch work on your images, content patch tool suited for it.
Because it helps to eliminate the nearby contents by adjusting the image
pixels and image will looks too natural for people. It can also select
from the Spot Healing Brush toolbar.
The crop tools is improved by
addition of aspect ratio cropping and perspective cropping. In previous
version, you have very less control over crop tool, difficult to adjust
height and width of crop box. In CS6 you can simply enter the crop
sizes or set the cropping aspect ratio for getting desired object in
your image. The perspective crop tool also helps to get perspective view
of cropped images and you can find in crop toolbar.
New Filters
The
new filters included are wide-angle lens correction, photographic blur
filters, lighting effects and oil filters. The wide-angle lens
correction is an adaptive one, which converts curved lines into straight
in photos. By using this filter automatically, correct the physical
characteristic of your image.
The photographic blur gallery
includes Field blur, Tilt-shift and Iris blur enables the three distinct
photographic effects in your photos. Select the blur option from the
filter menu and control as your way. The Bokeh blur effects provides
additional enhancement for blurring function via controlling Bokeh
light, color and light range.
The lighting effects help to control the image light settings and
give additional lights to dark images. The settings contain three
different lighting options such as Point, Spot and Infinite. For each
type of light effects, we can control the color intensity, hotspot,
exposure, gloss and metallic lights. You can find the light effects from
Filters menu -> Render -> Light effects.
Another
new filter is oil painter, which will help to create a classic painting
on your photos. I could not experience it, because while clicking on the
filer option, says contact with manufacture website.
Improved Video Editing
As
in older versions, only extended version has video editing options in
creative suite series of Adobe. In CS6 includes video importing options,
which import frames videos into layers. So that you can enhance each
layer by applying styles, adding texts, applying motion effects etc. You
can also create video group by combing the two or videos into single
track and have separate audio editing are available. It have great
support for importing video formats and only DPX, QuickTime and H.264
format support for export videos.
Improved Drawing
The
layers are now in vector type, in which you can create vector images
using lines and shape tools as like as in
Corel Draw X5 Graphics Suite.
The vector layers makes your newly created objects with smoother lines
and curves and looks great with color combination also. From the option
bar you can apply strokes and fills, strokes application via dashed
lines and fill via gradient, color, patterns, or predefined presets. The
path selection or direction selection tool helps to select object layer
while applying fills and strokes on images.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 is great software for both images and videos with faster performance. The sleeker user graphic interface makes it simpler and fewer complexes looks. Toolbar additional options docker the top helps me to reduce movement and time while designing objects. The improvement in camera raw, text, paragraph styles, filters, tools etc makes it more powerful than any other image editing software.
